Work Schedules

Work schedules (often referred to as “Tours of Duty”) are posted and managed through an online app… called Sling https://getsling.com/. This is your calendar. It’s where you check your shift schedules, manage time off, availability and shift trade requests. It is accessible anywhere that you can access the internet via a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You may set up Sling to notify you via Notifications and/or email whenever the schedule, or changes in the schedule, affect you.

Changes to your schedule of any kind need to be requested and permission granted. This includes swapping shifts. It’s very easy to do with the app and it makes sure that everyone is aware of what’s going on, who is supposed to be working, etc.

Schedules are set so that you work 15 minutes prior to the store (visitor center) opening and remain until 15 minutes after the store (visitor center) closes… as scheduled. This time is used to clean, straighten, re-stock, etc.
