- Enter all items that the visitor is purchasing into the Quickbooks POS program.
- Scan the barcode for the “Shop In Utah” sale… off of a poster or sign. (The POS will take 20% off of everything)
- If the visitor adds something to the sale after you’ve scanned the barcode… you must scan it again. Any items added after the barcode is scanned will be charged at the regular price, so to get the sale price, you need to just scan the barcode again. It won’t take another 20% off of the first set of items.
- Membership discounts may not be applied on top of this Shop in Utah discount… they can choose to take the 15% off for a membership or 20% off for the Shop in Utah promotion… not both.
- You may type in the number on the coupon instead of scanning if you would like to… it is 0500001000011. It works the same.
- Finish off the sale as normal and thank the folks for shopping in Utah.
- Always use the “Shop in Utah” coupon barcode whether you scan the barcode or type it in. DO NOT just give a 20% discount. It will mess up our accounting for the coupon.
If people ask, INHA has been awarded a grant by the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development to help business that have been adversely affected by COVID-19 shutdowns and restrictions… encouraging folks to shop in Utah, buy more products and services and hopefully help businesses make their way back towards normal and stay in business.
The DinoStore at Dinosaur National Monument is the only INHA location doing this sale… even the Canyon Visitor Center won’t be doing this because they are in Colorado, not Utah.
Every sale qualifies, no one has to meet any qualifications, minimum amounts, or buy any particular items. Even the other automatically calculated promotions like 5 for $2 postcards or 2 for $5 magnets will be discounted the extra 20% for the time being. Be sure that any returns, refunds, or trades are done at the discounted rate unless they have a receipt from a purchase previous to August 7, 2020. The sale goes until we reach a certain sales threshold and is not for a set amount of time or until a specific date. When we end it… it’s over.
