Rattlesnakes have been spotted near the Quarry VC

So, keep your eyes open and be aware. The building holds heat during the night and snakes may cuddle up close to it to stay warm in the early mornings. Please report promptly to one of the rangers if you see one… note the precise location and time

Gophersnakes (the most widespread and abundant snake species in Utah) are often confused with rattlesnakes because when alarmed, gophersnakes hiss and vibrate their tails. A rattlesnake’s tail is wide and blunt while a gophersnake’s tail is slender, pointed and lacks a rattle.
