We will start phasing in a new credit card processing system for those stores that have Quickbooks POS and the internet. It will be Quickbooks Merchant Processing and it’s all tied together in the POS system. There will be no more stand-alone credit card machine where you have to punch in the amount and follow the instructions on the terminal.
Now, all of the interaction with the new pin-pad will be done solely by the visitor… and other than pressing “Yes” at one point, it’s just sliding the card in and out or swiping it. The clerk shouldn’t need to touch the pin-pad except to clean it.
So, pass the word and help each other out. These don’t have the “tap” feature or Apple Pay features yet, so it’s “insert” or “swipe” only at this time.
