Have a Happy & Safe Independence Day

Independence Day is annually celebrated on July 4 and is often known as the Fourth of July. It is the anniversary of the publication of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776. Patriotic displays and family events are organized throughout the United States.

Because Independence Day (observed on Tuesday, July 4th in 2023) is a federal holiday, banks and many government offices will be closed on that day. That means we have to process payroll early… on Friday, June 30th. We will pay everyone as per their schedule for Friday and Saturday instead of going by actual time sheets for those days. If you work more or less than what is on your schedule on Friday or Saturday, we will adjust hours for those days as needed on our next payday.

Independence Day is a paid holiday so if you work that day you will receive double wages for the hours worked. Bonus!! If you have any questions, please ask Ron. Yes, all visitor centers will be open as per our regular scheduled hours.

This is one of our biggest holiday weekends of the summer so take a deep breath, work hard, and enjoy the fun, new people you will meet!
