Beginning on May 5, 2022, the daily average release from Flaming Gorge Dam shall be increased from 850 cfs to 1,800 cfs. The average daily release of 1,800 cfs will continue thereafter or until a new directive is issued. Hourly release schedules issued by WAPA for power production may include daily fluctuations to meet power demand contracts.

Tours at Flaming Gorge Dam
There are no guided tours at the dam anymore. There is a self-guided walking tour that will lead visitors out to a fantastic overlook where you can see all the way to the bottom of the dam and the Green River. This is a wonderful opportunity!
No one is allowed inside the dam and no one is allowed to walk across the dam along the walkway. There are a couple of great vehicle pull-out locations on the Dutch John side of the dam where you can get some great views, also!
