CVC Closed for Winter after Oct. 18, 2014

The Canyon Visitor Center (CVC), 2 miles east of Dinosaur, Colorado, will close for the winter season after October 18, 2014. The building is also “headquarters” for the monument, housing the administrative offices… and more. INHA will be counting the park store inventory and moving it to Utah for the winter in anticipation of opening back up in the spring. Visitors will not be able to get any one-on-one information at the Visitor Center, but wayside pullouts will have pertinent info.

The Harper’s Corner Road, heading north from the Visitor Center, will remain open for as long as good weather lasts. There are no fees on the Colorado side of the monument. Monument staff will close the road when conditions warrant until the road is once again useable in the spring.
