Changing Seasons & Hours

Halfway through October, more seasonal hours are changing at various locations:

  • Dinosaur National Monument went to reduced hours as of September 16th, with the Quarry Visitor Center and Quarry Exhibit Hall hours: 9-5.
  • The Canyon Visitor Center near Dinosaur, Colorado is closed for the season.
  • Fossil Butte National Monument is on winter hours now.
  • Flaming Gorge Dam is now closed for the season… tours are closed, also.
  • Red Canyon Visitor Center has gone to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only 10-5. Nighttime temperatures will strongly influence how long into the fall the visitor center will stay open… water.
  • Swett Ranch Historical Homestead and Ute Fire Tower Interpretive Site are closed for the season… scheduled to open around Memorial Day, 2020.
  • Bear River Ranger Station is closed for the season.
  • Strawberry Visitor Center – The last day of their season was Saturday, September 28th.
