America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration (Semiquincentennial)

On July 4, 2026, the United States will mark its Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Led by the nonpartisan U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission and America250.org, this nationwide commemoration invites all Americans to reflect on our shared history, honor the contributions of generations past and present, and look forward to the next 250 years.

From local block parties and “America’s Block Party” synchronized celebrations to major events like the Great American State Fair on the National Mall, commemorative coins and medals from the U.S. Mint, volunteer service initiatives through America Gives, student storytelling via America’s Field Trip, and cultural showcases across all 50 states, the year-long observance aims to engage every American in a spirit of unity, pride, and civic renewal.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the enduring ideals of liberty, resilience, and the American story — past, present, and future. Learn more and get involved at america250.org. 🇺🇸
