You may have noticed an “N” on your schedule. Monday, August 1st, is our day to count the inventory. At the Quarry Visitor Center, things can be counted in the store room and the postcard cabinet early in the day–then late, maybe 1/2 – 1 hours before closing time, we can start counting in the store. It takes a while at this time of year because we have so much stock and it’s too busy during open hours to count.
We will bring pizza and dessert to feed everyone. When the counting is all done and we’re sure we haven’t missed anything, we will be able to go home. Ron may stay and finish doing all of the computer entry.
This is critical at this time of year to get everything back in line and make sure our numbers are correct… and the straighter the store is that day, the easier it will be. Please make sure that postcards are not over-stocked and that t-shirts are rolled and in their proper slots. Those two items take the most time.
Plan on staying and earning a few extra dollars. Tell us your favorite kind of pizza!
